KATHMANDU, March 29: The meeting of the Constitutional Council is underway at Prime Minister's residence Baluwatar. The meeting convened at 9AM.

Deputy Speaker Indira Rana said that the agenda for today's meeting is to address the vacant posts of various constitutional bodies.

The meeting aims to recommend a candidate for the appointment of the Auditor General to the President.

The post of Auditor General has remained vacant for an extended period. Bamdev Sharma Adhikari has been appointed as the Acting Auditor General.

As per the constitutional provision, the Council, chaired by Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, includes the Speaker, Speaker of the National Assembly, Deputy Speaker, Chief Justice, and the leader of the main opposition party as its members.
