Dead body found in border area

MORANG, July 25: The dead body of a young man was found in Biratnagar Metropolitan City-16 on Sunday. The body was found on the Nepali side of the Nepal-India border near a sugarcane field.

According to Deepak Shrestha, spokesperson and Deputy Superintendent of Police of Morang district, the dead body of the young man was found today at 11 AM. The police have speculated the man to be around 25-30 years old.

The deceased was found wearing black trousers and a white vest and was barefoot. According to the police, there are no signs of any injury on the dead body. Police have also recovered Rs 320 and a lighter from the pocket of the dead body, DSP Shrestha informed Republica.

So far, police have not been able to reveal the details of the dead person. Police have launched an investigation into the incident and the dead body has been sent to Koshi Hospital for a post mortem.
