Government drafting policy on landless squatters management

KATHMANDU, May 28: Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation Padma Kumari Aryal has said that the government has prepared the policy for landless squatters.

Speaking in the 63rd anniversary of Survey Department here in the capital today, Minister Aryal shared that the government had the policy of reducing poverty in the country. She also opined that the civil servants also should cooperate to implement the government policy as an adverse situation was in the country with a new federal set up.

Similarly, a member at the national Planning commission Dr Dil Bahadur Gurung shared that with the measurement of the Mt Everest recently measured by the department had reflected the department's works. Secretary at the ministry Gopinath Mainali and Department Director General Prakash Joshi also addressed the program. On occasion, the measurement team was felicitated.
