Husband kills wife

GULMI, March 1: A man has killed his wife in Ismarajsthal VDC of the district. Yam Bahadur Aryal, 59, stabbed her wife Kamal Aryal, 45, with a Khukuri and then hit her with a stone, killing her on Tuesday morning. 

According to Mahendra Nepal, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) at the District Police Office, Yam Bahadur stabbed his wife without a reason. Police have already arrested Yam Bahadur. 

Maya Kunwar, 14, a neighbor of the deceased, was injured while trying to protect her. Kunwar, who sustained injuries to her right arm, was sent to a local health post for treatment, police said. 

Although Yam Bahadur has confessed to the crime, he has not revealed the reason behind the attack.

DSP Nepal said further investigation into the murder is underway.
