JAJARKOT, Sept 16: A 24 - hour emergency maternity service started from Friday in Jajarkot Hospital.
Lawmaker Shakti Bahadur Basnet officially inaugurated the service putting an end to the expensive journey undertaken by the Jajarkot's pregnant women to different districts to seek the service.
The doctors from Karnali Academy of Health Sciences will provide the maternity service at the hospital.
Lawmaker and CPN (Maoist Centre) leader Basnet stressed on need for extensive reformation in the health services of the country. He has appealed for support from all quarters in broadening the scope of the health services.
Noting the ongoing development works related to building the highways connecting Jajarkot to Tibet via Dolpa and the Jajarkot – Jumla – mid hill regions – Dang – Mugu highway, Basnet said the work for setting up lift irrigation system at Rimna and Kudu would start soon. RSS
