NAC’s first flight from Bhairahawa to Delhi and Hong Kong takes off with empty seats

KATHMANDU, Aug 29: Aircraft of Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) which started Bhairahawa-Delhi and Bhairahawa-Hong Kong flights via Kathmandu from today have taken off without any passengers on board.

Hansa Raj Pandey, General Manager of Gautam Buddha International Airport (GBIA) located in Bhairahawa, said that NAC flights from Malaysia to Bhairahawa have been started once a week via Kathmandu to Delhi and Hong Kong.

Pandey said that no passenger boarded the plane from Bhairahawa Airport on today's flight. Passengers going to Hong Kong are taken to their destination via Kathmandu, while passengers going to Delhi are sent to their destination via a connecting flight at Kathmandu Airport.

General Manager Pandey informed Republica that no passenger boarded the plane from Bhairahawa Airport on today's flight. The NAC had opened the ticket booking for the said route from August 26.

NAC started flying on the Malaysia-Bairhawa route from June 13. Since then, the NAC has operated 12 flights along that route.
