PHC to conduct hearing on proposed Election Commissioner Pradhan today

KATHMANDU, July 24: The Parliamentary Hearing Committee (PHC) is scheduled to conduct a hearing on Krishna Man Pradhan, proposed for Election Commission’s Commissioner, from today.

According to the PHC, a meeting for his hearing has been called today at 1PM at Singha Durbar.

The meeting of the Constitutional Council (CC) held on June 16 had recommended that Pradhan be appointed as the Election Commissioner. The CC sent the letter of recommendation to the PHC on June 18.

The PHC called for complaints against the proposed commissioner on June 21. The hearing initially scheduled to take place on July 5 was adjourned. The adjourned hearing is scheduled to take place today.
