Photo exhibition underway to remember late minster Adhikari

KATHMANDU, April 25: Nearly two months after the sudden demise of the then Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Rabindra Adhikari, a photo exhibition has been organized in the capital in remembrance of the late minister.

Altogether 30 photos have been put on display at the Aviation Museum to commemorate the late minister, who died in a helicopter crash in Taplejung district along with Deputy Director General of Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal, Birendra Prasad Shrestha and some other officials.

The photos were taken by the founder of Aviation Museum, Captain Bed Upreti, Sweta Gautam and Deepak Upreti.

General Manager of the Tribhuvan International Airport, Raj Kumar Chhetri, shared his personal and professional experiences with the late minister.

“Although I got the opportunity to work with the minister for a short period of time, the experience of knowing him was worthwhile,” expressed Chhetri.

The late minister's wife, Bidya Bhattarai, also shared some of her feeling during the photo exhibition.

Appreciating the works and contribution of the minister, she pledged to fulfill his dreams by giving continuity to the works he had initiated.

“We have a trend of appreciating people's work after their demise. I believe that accomplishing his incomplete goals would be the best way to offering him a condolence in the truest sense,” added Bhattarai.

State Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Dhan Bahadur Budha said that sorrows should be transformed into strength.

“We all are gathered here to remember him but we can actually pay him a tribute by making his aspirations come true,” he said.

The exhibition is slated to run till May 25 at the Aviation Museum, Sinamangal.
