Seven people arrested with illegal drugs from different places

KATHMANDU, September 14: Police arrested seven people with illegal drugs from Sarlahi, Jhapa, Kapilvastu and Kailali.

Police arrested Birendra Chaudhary, 49, a resident of Malangwa Municipality-9, with 5 kg of marijuana from the room of Dilip Sah, living in Lalbandi Municipality-5 of Sarlahi, on Tuesday afternoon. As soon as the information was received that Chaudhary was carrying the illegal drug, the police stationed from the area police office Lalbandi found him with the marijuana and arrested him.

Police arrested Mohan Rajbanshi, 28, a resident of Birtamod Municipality-5, Jhapa, with 5.31 grams of brown sugar on Tuesday morning. The police stationed from the temporary police post at New Bus Park searched his room and found the substance and arrested him.

Similarly, the police arrested two people with 3.66 grams of brown sugar from Bhadrapur Municipality-5 Mechi Bridge area of Jhapa on Tuesday night. Among those arrested are 36-year-old Lokraj Rajbanshi of Birtamod Municipality-2 and 25-year-old Ajay Rajbanshi of Kankai Municipality-8.

While checking a three-wheeler (Me 1 Ha 4734) coming from India to Nepal, the police found the substance hidden in the key box of the vehicle and arrested the driver Lokraj Rajbanshi and Ajay who was riding the tempo.

Police arrested two people with about 4.860 grams of brown sugar from Mayadevi Rural Municipality-4 Chakarchouda of Kapilvastu on Tuesday evening. Among those arrested are 31-year-old Ishwor Gharti, a resident of Bandganga Municipality-8 Mahawan, and 20-year-old Tulsiram Tharu, a resident of Ward-14 of the same municipality.

While checking a motorcycle (Lu 70 Pa 4393) coming from India to Nepal, the police stationed at the area police office Chakarchauda found them on the motorcycle and arrested them with the illegal drug.

Police arrested 24-year-old Bishal Thapa, a permanent resident of Bajhang Chhabis Pathibhara Rural Municipality-4 currently living in Dhangadhi sub-metropolitan city-1, Pushpalal Chowk, along with 7.260 grams of brown sugar on Tuesday night. Police stationed from the District Police Office Kailali found him with the drug and arrested him.
