As an uncertain exercise of trial and error,  Nepal’s two biggest political parties, Nepali Congress Party and United Marxist Leninist Party have some sort of realization that a duopoly or two party system could be beneficial for their decisive role in politics and political stability in Nepal.

As a result of never-ending transitions and political instability in Nepal, even after thirty years of the multiparty system and nine years of the present constitution, politics is constantly sliding from democratic norms towards autocratic dynamics, and the economy is on the edge of collapse.

Until religions and autocracies remain attached with politics, it would be  unimaginable to hope for full democracy in the countries of the South Asia region.
