1,300 traffic police officers to be mobilized in Kathmandu Valley to curb possible traffic accidents during Holi festival

KATHMANDU, March 16: The Metropolitan Traffic Police Division (MTPD), Ramshahpath has decided to deploy as many as 1,300 traffic police personnel across the Kathmandu Valley to celebrate the Holi festival in a safe, organized, and dignified manner.

KATHMANDU, March 16: The Metropolitan Traffic Police Division (MTPD), Ramshahpath has decided to deploy as many as 1,300 traffic police personnel across the Kathmandu Valley to celebrate the Holi festival in a safe, organized, and dignified manner.

On Holi, the MTPD, Ramshahpath, will mobilize its manpower by preparing a traffic management plan to control the activities that violate traffic rules and mark the festival without any road accidents. Chief of the Division, Senior Superintendent of Police Umesh Raj Joshi has instructed all the traffic units and in-charges to make the traffic management strict on Wednesday.


The MTPD has arranged special checkpoints in 68 places including various border points of the Kathmandu Valley to make the Holi festival free of accidents.
