15 households at risk of displacement

LALITPUR, Aug 4: As many as 15 families are at high risk of displacement in Lalitpur district due to landslide caused by incessant rain.

LALITPUR, Aug 4: As many as 15 families are at high risk of displacement in Lalitpur district due to landslide caused by incessant rain.


The families are living a hard time due to recurring landslides in Bhattedanda-9, Kalche of Lalitpur, said Bishnu Prasad Timilsina, a local.

Locals are reeling under fear and terror due to landslide in the area which is merely 35-km away from Lagankhel, the centre of Lalitpur.


It is reported that the families of Bishnu Prasad Ghimire, Arjun Ghimire, Ram Sharan Sapkota and others of the area are at high risk of displacement.


The landslide has caused cracks and fragmentations in around 100 bighas land owned by local people. It has also troubled the movement of transportation means in the area, he shared.


Normal life has been affected when the landslide has disrupted transport of daily essential goods in the area. RSS
