KATHMANDU, July 27: As many as 44 female Nepali workers who had been taking shelter illegally at the Nepal Embassy in Beijing following the expiration of their one-month visa have been repatriated from China on Saturday.
Issuing a press statement, the Nepali Embassy in Beijing has stated that all of them have been sent back to Nepal on Saturday. They left for Nepal from Dalian airport of the province via three different flights .
Out of them, 41 will reach Kathmandu via Kunming and the rest via Guangzhou.

They were lured into going to China on tourist visa for employment in Dandong Garment Factory in Liaoning province
These women had been tricked into underpaid overwork within the secured perimeters of a garment factory in northeastern China with a promise of jobs that would fetch them a monthly salary of US$ 300.
They had requested the embassy and the manpower company to rescue them, the statement reads.
Following the complaints, the Nepal Embassy in Beijing sent them back to Nepal in coordination with concerned Chinese and Nepali authorities.
The local manpower company had decided to bear their airfare.
