KATHMANDU, Nov 8: A total of 544 Nepalis abroad have contracted coronavirus, and 1,163 have recovered from the virus in the past one week.
As countries brace for the third wave of the virus, an increasing number of Nepalis living abroad have also contracted the virus.
Nepal’s COVID-19 death toll hits 120
Nepalis mostly in Austria, Czech Republic, Spain, the Netherlands and Denmark have contracted the virus, according to the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA).
So far, 44,113 Nepalis in 44 countries have reported being diagnosed with the virus, including 40,728 cases of recoveries.
Similarly, one more Nepali in Saudi Arabia succumbed to the virus last week. With this, the number of Nepali people dying of COVID-19 outside the country has reached 285.
