Nepal on the road to complete prohibitory order
KATHMANDU, May 12: 72 out of the 77 districts of Nepal are currently under prohibitory orders, restricting human and vehicular movements, public gathering and other social activities as a precautionary measure against the increasing number of new COVID-19 cases.

According to Janak Raj Dahal, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Home Affairs, as many as 72 districts across the country have enforced prohibitory orders as of Wednesday morning.
The government has given the authority of enforcing prohibitory orders and lockdown in the districts to the district administration offices (DAOs). Most district COVID-19 crisis management committees (DCCMCs) are extending the prohibitory orders as well. As of Wednesday morning, as many as 18 districts have extended prohibitory orders at least by a week.
