NEPALGUNJ, Nov 20: Tribhuvan Army Club dominated the the second edition of Nepalgunj Peace Marathon winning one to six positions of top eight on Sunday.
In the marathon held in Nepalgunj to mark the signing of the Comprehensive Peace Accord between the government and the Maoists in 2006, Krishna Basnet snatched first position. Army man Krishna finished the 42.195 km marathon in 2 hour and 26 minutes.

Similarly, second and third places also were claimed by Army players Khagendra Bhat and Khadak Bahadur Khadka finishing the marathon in 2 hours and 30 minute and 2 hour and 34 minutes respectively. Winner of the marathon Krishna won a purse of Rs 51,000.
Similarly in the women’s half marathon, Armed Police Force (APF)’s Kanchi Maya Koji grabbed first position in the race while Khim Maya Budha and Pushpa Bhandari finished the race in the second and third places respectively. Winner Kanchi Maya was awarded with Rs 25,000.
Likewise in the 5 km school level race, Sagar Budhathoki, Naresh Budha and Hem Raj Thapa grabbed first, second and third places respectively. In the 400 meter wheelchair race of the same event, Kamal Bahadur Basnet clutched the first position while Nanku Chaudhary and Yagya Bahadur Thapa remained in the second and third positions respectively.
