KATHMANDU, Aug 5: Nepal Athletics Association on Friday bade farewell to Nepali athletics team which will contest in the Rio Olympics.
Two athletes from Nepal - Hari Kumar Rimal in men's 5000 m race and Saraswati Bhattarai in women's 1500 m race are competing in Rio.
The team will leave for Rio on Sunday.
Pushpa Raj Ojha, a senior athletics coach, will accompany the team.
Athletics events will be held from August 12 to 21.
The team was given track suits during the farewell program.
Office bearers of Nepal Athletics Association and National Sports Council bade farewell to the team.
