Senior orthopedic surgeon Dr Govinda KC, who is on his 20th day of fast-unto-death demanding reforms in medical education sector in Jumla, has many supporters even though the government has paid no heed to his demand.

KATHMANDU, July 19: #BackOffMedicalEducationBill has hit trending on social media. Senior orthopedic surgeon Dr Govinda KC, who is on his 20th day of fast-unto-death demanding reforms in medical education sector in Jumla, has many supporters even though the government has paid no heed to his demand.


Tweeting a message 21 hours ago, Raju Thapa requests people to join hands to reach the goal to save Dr. KC.

Similarly, Arun Upreti has mentioned in his tweet that the medical education bill presented by the government will open flood gates of medical colleges in Kathmandu.


Dakshya Prajapati in his tweet mentions that he is for Dr. Govinda KC. Prajapati further stresses that Dr. Govinda KC is the one for nepalis. He adds that general people like him will not be able to travel costly hospitals abroad nor his name will be appearing on the list to receive yearly medical expenses by ministers.



Likewise, Chandra Koirala mentions in his tweet that supporting Dr. Govinda KC is the wisest decision he has ever done.
