Bijukchhe's book 'Bhaktapur after hundred years' launched

BHAKTAPUR, July 8: A book titled 'Bhaktapur after hundred years' (second edition) envisioning Bhaktapur after a century by Nepal Workers and Peasants' Party chair Narayanman Bijukchhe has been launched amidst a program here today.

BHAKTAPUR, July 8: A book titled 'Bhaktapur after hundred years' (second edition) envisioning Bhaktapur after a century by Nepal Workers and Peasants' Party chair Narayanman Bijukchhe has been launched amidst a program here today. 


On the occasion, leader Bijukchhe, said Bhaktapur failed to see development as per the vision created by development experts in the past, stating he was sad to see the destruction of green areas in the name of building 'smart cities' in the district.

Litterateur and culture expert, centenary man Satyamohan Joshi stressed on the need of initiating a process to include Bhaktapur's famous and cultural dances 'Nawadurga' and 'Mahakali' in the UNECSO world heritage list. 


He expressed his belief that Bijukchhe's creation would be guidance to the people of Bhaktapur. 


Joshi urged the Bhaktapur folks to give a special focus on the protection and promotion of the local culture. Bijukchhe had published the first edition of book in 2059 BS. 

Professor and commentator Maniklal Shrestha, senior journalists Bhairab Risal, culture expert Tejeshwor Gwang, senior advocate Krishna Prasad Bhandari, litterateur Dr Ram Prasad Gyawali, Journalists Society Nepal's chair Laxman Raj Joshi and Association Central Chair Surendra Raj Gosai said the society after 100 hundred years in Bhaktapur that was envisaged in the book would be a means of bringing change and development in the future. The Nepalese society since the past 50 years had witnessed lots of change, they said, adding that a good political leadership was necessary to take the country to a right path. 


The program was organised by Nepal Revolutionary Cultural Association Central Committee.RSS
