Hong Kong-based Nepali singer, Bikram Gurung is all set to perform for July’s edition of Paleti, Nepalaya’s micro event series. The live music session will be held at Nepalaya’s ‘r’ sala, Kalikasthan from July 26 to 28.
Gurung has also worked with legendary Nepali musician, Arun Thapa on songs like ‘Bhulu Bhulu Lagyo Malai’, ‘Aakha ko Nind Khosi Laney’, and ‘Katai Tadha Timibata Bhuley Bhaney’. This month’s Paleti will focus on those moments and the musical journey of Gurung. He will be joined by Meena Niraula on vocals. “Many celebrated singers in Nepali music have performed at this Paleti stage. I feel happy to be one of them,” Gurung said in a press statement.

Gurung and Niraula will also be supported by Sandesh Maharjan on tabla, Balaram Samal on basuri, Amber Gurung ‘Pokhareli’ on bass, Dinesh Regmi on keyboards, Suraj Pradhan on guitars and Paras on percussion.
Paleti’s first edition was organized back in 2005, aimed at presenting solo performances of people engaged in music from the time of nostalgically recalled. Since the series’ inception, over 50 music icons have performed at the Nepalaya’s stage.
