Biplav-led NCP abducts candidate

TAPLEJUNG, June 18: Cadres of Netra Bikram Chand (Biplav) led Nepal Communist Party abducted Nepali Congress candidate for ward member Man Kumar Patangwa from Phaktanglung Rural Municipality-2, Khejenim of Taplejung district.

TAPLEJUNG, June 18: Cadres of Netra Bikram Chand (Biplav) led Nepal Communist Party abducted Nepali Congress candidate for ward member Man Kumar Patangwa from Phaktanglung Rural Municipality-2, Khejenim of Taplejung district.


According to District Police Office Chief DSP Ram Bahadur KC, police have received information that Patangwa is abducted when he was heading towards Tapethok, the service center of the rural municipality, for filing his candidacy nominations.

According to Chief Returning Officer of Taplejung Ashok Kumar Basnet, candidacy nominations in rest of the rural municipalities and Phungling Municipality are going on peaceful since Sunday 10am.


The second phase of local level elections is scheduled for June 28 in Province 1, 5 and 7 and candidates are filing their candidacies on Sunday.
