Book on former PM Bhattarai released

KATHMANDU, Sept 3: A book entitled 'Abiram Baburam' (Untiring Baburam) based on the life of former Prime Minister and Naya Shakti coordinator Baburam Bhattarai, has been released on Saturday.

KATHMANDU, Sept 3: A book entitled 'Abiram Baburam' (Untiring Baburam) based on the life of former Prime Minister and Naya Shakti coordinator Baburam Bhattarai, has been released on Saturday.



Written by journalist Anil Thapa, the book features life events of Dr Bhattarai ranging from his childhood to political career.



Bhoj Prasad, father of Bhattarai, launched the book amid a press conference in the Capital on Saturday. 



Divided into four sections and 16 chapters, the book shows political life of Bhattarai ranging from his taking up the arms to initiate the Maoist decade-long insurgency, altercation with the Maoist party Chief Pushpa Kamal Dahal, and his ascent to the top executive post in the country. 



The book published by Shangri-La Publications, also contains the documents and diaries maintained by Dr Bhattarai. 



Putting view on the book, CPN-UML leader Pradip Gyawali said although the book sheds light on those account of Bhattarai that are not known to general people, the author fails to adopt neutral approach about Bhattarai's life. 



Likewise, commenting on the book, Manu Humagain lauded it as worth reading tome. 



Also on the occasion, Bhattarai said the book was written on the basis of factual life events. RSS
