Boy goes missing in river

RAUTAHAT, July 3: A child has gone missing after being swept away by a river in the district. The missing child is 10-year-old Nir Ahamad, a resident of Tejapakad VDC.

RAUTAHAT, July 3: A child has gone missing after being swept away by a river in the district. The missing child is 10-year-old Nir Ahamad, a resident of Tejapakad VDC.


The river eroded the mud mound where the child was standing grazing the cattle that caused him to be swept away by the swollen river, according to the relatives.

Police and locals have started search after the incident.


According to Superintendent of Police (SP) of District Police Station Rautahat, Ganesh Regmi, search has been carried out downstream till Nepal-India border.
