KATHMANDU, Sept 18: The British College on Friday conferred bachelor’s degrees to 201 graduating students at Soaltee Crowne Plaza, in Tahachal.
Among them, 69 were students of BBA (Hons) Business and Management; 28 of MSc International Business Management and 104 students of BSc (Hons) Computing. This was the largest graduating batch from The British College, indicating growth in success and popularity of the college, stated a press statement released by the College.
Nova International Bids Adieu to Graduates
Representatives from both the awarding universities, Patricia Voaden, HoD for Business and Management of The University of West of England, and Lesley Earle, principal lecturer of Leeds Beckett University, had also attended the event. They expressed their pride and respect for the graduating students, and wished them luck in their professional journey, the statement read.
The event was also attended by advisors for the College, John Edward Hollister Montagu (11th Earl of Sandwich), Dr Chiran Thapa (accredited educationalist), Michael Rutland (The British Honorary Counsel in Bhutan), Paul Cleves (former head of Geography at Eton College), Dr Ganga Lal Tuladhar (former education minister) and Dr John Bateman (principal of The British College).
British Ambassador to Nepal Richard Morris, President of Federation of Nepalese Chamber of Commerce and Industries Bhawani Rana and TBC CEO Rajen Kandel also attended and addressed the program to instill students with hope for better futures.
