Cabinet promotes three DIGs to AIG, to bring ordinance against acid attack

KATHMANDU, March 31: The government has promoted three Deputy Inspectors General (DIGs) to Additional Inspector Generals (AIGs).

KATHMANDU, March 31: The government has promoted three Deputy Inspectors General (DIGs) to Additional Inspector Generals (AIGs).


A Cabinet meeting held this morning decided to promote DIGs Basanta Kumar Pant, Dhiraj Pratap Singh and Rabindra Bahadur Dhanuk to the post of AIG.

The promotion recommendation committee of the Ministry of Home Affairs had recommended for the promotion on March 15. However, the appointment was delayed after a complaint was lodged with the Public Service Commission against the promotion recommendation.


Similarly, the Cabinet meeting has also decided to bring an ordinance to control violence against women and against acid attack.
