ILAM, Aug 29: The construction of a canal in Ektappa VDC of Ilam has started with a budget of Rs 64 million.
The Irrigation Development Division Office, Ilam has launched the construction bringing joy to the villagers.
The canal should have been constructed much earlier but it has started now, Consumer Committee Chairman, Dil Bahadur Yonghang said.
The canal 12.1 km in length will benefit around 500 households in Ektappa VDC, according to Committee Secretary Ramji Koirala. The canal construction will be completed by three years. RSS
