JAJARKOT, Nov 10: In a bid to prove their candidates better than their rivals, both left and right alliances in Jajarkot have engaged in a blame game. They have been trying their best to impress more and more voters for the upcoming parliamentary and provincial elections by pointing out the weakness of their opponents.

After the announcement of their candidacies or even before that, the candidates have intensified their election campaigns. While making door-to-door visits, they don't only exaggerate their accomplishments but also manage time to inform the voters about the failures of their rivals.

According to Rajeev Bikram Shah, a Nepali Congress (NC) candidate for the parliamentary elections, CPN-UML and CPN (Maoist Center) have forged an alliance with the intention of winning the elections, but NC's main purpose behind forging an alliance is to serve the people. He has been asking the voters to support him, claiming that the NC is the only party which is concerned about the welfare of the locals. He says his sole motive behind winning the elections is to work for the betterment of the people and he has no vested interests like other candidates.

Similarly, CPN (Maoist Center) candidate Shakti Bahadur Basnet, who has been fielded by the left alliance, has been trying to woo voters by telling people how the party has been with the people in their good and bad times for decades. He claimed that only the left alliance has the potential to develop Jajarkot. He also says that it is wrong to expect the NC to develop the country.

With the date for the elections drawing nearer, parties are competing to formulate best strategies and agendas to convince the voters. Ganesh Prasad Singh, a candidate fielded by the left alliance for the provincial elections from constituency 'a' has made all attempts to impress the voters. He has been telling the voters that the leaders and cadres of the left alliance have shed their blood and sweat for the emancipation of the people and promulgation of the new constitution.

Meanwhile, NC's candidate Dipak Jung Sahi has been repeating the same thing in all his campaigns, aliaming that NC is responsible for all the political and other developments of the country. “Jajarokot has ample prospects of development but other parties are unaware about it. So the people must vote for me if they want to feel the change,” Shahi claims.
