KATHMANDU, Sept 8: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that the Kathmandu Valley will be face-lifted through the implementation of the ‘Prime Minister Valley Action Plan’.
Addressing the nation from the Parliament on Thursday, Prime Minister Dahal said the government will implement the action plan for the integrated Kathmandu Valley.

According to Dahal, the action plan includes the construction of flyover, waste management, street lights management, sewage management, road maintenance, traffic management, among others.
Similarly, the plan also includes prompt security management, pollution control, integrated real estate development, settlement management, accessible housing management, employment information center, water supply management, archeological protection, one-door employment information center and establishing a handicraft village.
In his address to the nation, Dahal said that Sitapaila-Naubise tunnel construction and construction of outer ring road under Land Pulling System will begin next year once all the necessary preparations are made. Firstly, road potholes will be covered with black-top and the roads will be made wider.
Likewise, Melamchi Drinking Water Project followed by traffic management will also be expedited. The Bagmati River cleanup campaign will be continued through the management of drainage system, said Dahal.
