Chairman of Sadbhawana Party (Gajendrabadi), Tiwari, stages hunger strike

RAJBIRAJ, Nov 24: Chairman of the Nepal Sadbhawana Party (Gajendrabadi), Bikas Kumar Tiwari, has been staging hunger strike at the premises of Rajbiraj-based Gajendra Narayan Singh Sagarmatha Zonal Hospital from Wednesday putting forth various demands.

RAJBIRAJ, Nov 24: Chairman of the Nepal Sadbhawana Party (Gajendrabadi), Bikas Kumar Tiwari, has been staging hunger strike at the premises of Rajbiraj-based Gajendra Narayan Singh Sagarmatha Zonal Hospital from Wednesday putting forth various demands. 



Tiwari staged hunger strike demanding child-friendly environment in hospital, healthy and nutritious food to patients, clean water, and avaibility of doctors and technicians of ENT, skin, orthopedic, radiologist. 



Similarly, the demands put forth by Tiwari also incorporates initiating construction task of under construction maternity building immediately, arrangement of quarters to doctors and security guards at hospitals. 



Before this, a team under the leadership of Tiwar had submitted a memorandum to hospital administration along with ultimatum by organising various pressure-oriented programmes, demanding making hospital systematic. 



Meanwhile, the hospital has been compelled to provide treatment services to patients keeping them on the floor in lack of sufficient number of beds. The emergency department of the hospital has only 25 beds. Over 100 patients visit the emergency department of the hospital for treatment, according to the hospital. RSS
