KATHMANDU, June 22: A complaint has been filed at the Election Commission (EC) against the Rastriya Swatantra Party (National Independent Party), formed by former media personality Rabi Lamichhane. The complaint filed by ‘Independent Candidacy Campaign’ has demanded the word ‘independent’ to be removed from the party’s name.

They have claimed that the word independent cannot be used in a party’s name. The EC has decided to investigate and study the complaint received over the party’s name.
