LAMJUNG, Dec 17: Twenty-nine years old Prabhat Ghimire of Dordi Rural Municipality, is a primary level teacher. Ghimire, who has done masters in Nepali, earned a teaching license by passing the exam of Teacher's Service Commission (TSC). Despite being visually impaired, his achievements are nothing less than a person with vision. He was doing quite well in his life but still his life was incomplete. He was actually searching for a soul mate with whom he can spend rest of his life. Prabhat who uses Facebook through screen reader software met with Sabhyata Gautam of Nawalpur, Makwanpur. She had everything that he wanted in a partner.
After knowing about Sabhyata, he immediately sent a friend request to her on Facebook. "We started chatting and soon realized that we have a connection and started talking on phone as well," she said. After dating for a while, they tied nuptial knot two years ago.
Sabhyata, whose body height is short, has done masters in sociology. After passing the Public Service Commission exam, she is working as an assistant women development inspector. Due to her high qualification and government job, she said she received several marriage proposals from different people. Sabhyata who has a shorter height than normal people said she always wanted to get married to a disabled person like her. Now, both of them are living a happy life.
According to Prabhat, his life has become more beautiful and organized after getting married. His wife has been has been assisting him in setting question papers and checking answers sheets. "She came to my life as my vision and I can't thank enough to god for this. Disability is no more a barrier for me," he said. Sabhyata wants to be an officer while Prabhat wants to become a college professor in future. Both of them are happy and leading a normal life despite their disabilities.
