CPN invites 50K people for a tea party this Saturday

KATHMANDU, Oct 24: The Communist Party of Nepal has invited 50,000 people for a tea reception at Bhrikutimandap on October 27. The party, chaired by PM KP Sharma Oli  will host the tea party on the occasion Bijaya Dashami, Deepawali, Nepal Sambat and Chhat festivals for the first time after the merger between the then CPN (UML) and CPN (Maoist Centre).

The party, chaired by PM KP Sharma Oli  will host the tea party on the occasion Bijaya Dashami, Deepawali, Nepal Sambat and Chhat festivals for the first time after the merger between the then CPN (UML) and CPN (Maoist Centre). 


CPN General Secretary and Coordinator of Tea Ceremony Committee, Bishnu Poudel, and Standing Committee member Yogesh Bhattarai today inspected the tea party venue.

Earlier, CPN (UML) and CPN (Maoist Centre) used to host seperate tea parties. 


Central Committee member of the CPN, Krishna Gopal Shrestha, said that some 50,000 people have been invited to the tea party from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM.  


Shrestha said that party's cadres and general people have been invited to the event from 12 noon to 3:00 pm while 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm has been allocated for VIP guests. Some 300 volunteers would be mobilized to make the tea party systematic.
