KATHMANDU, Jan 22: One of the two chairpersons of the Nepal Communist Party (Dahal-Nepal faction), Madhav Kumar Nepal, has ruled out the possibility of unity and cooperation with the other faction of the party led by KP Sharma Oli.
Speaking at a mass gathering organized by the faction of the party in the capital, Nepal said that they are preparing to take action against Oli for violating party norms and values.
"I want to make it clear that we won't have any alliance or unification with Oli now onward," Nepal said addressing the mass protest staged against the government's move to dissolve the House of Representatives.

He also said that Oli has not given any response to the clarification sought from him for breaching party statute and discipline.
"If Oli now realizes that he made a mistake by dissolving parliament, we can forgive him," Nepal said.
He also claimed that the House of Representatives will be reinstated through the Supreme Court verdict. “The constitution has not given rights to the prime minister to dissolve parliament. Therefore, it is Oli’s constitutional coup and we have to strongly oppose it,” he said.
Nepal, who is also a former prime minister, said that today's protest demonstration is a resemblance of the Second Janaandolan (2006) in Nepal which overthrew the monarchy. "This is just the casting. The actual film is yet to start," he said.
