Dahal says he will lead new govt after budget

KATHMANDU, May 26: CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that he will be leading the new government to be formed soon after endorsement of the new budget as per the nine-point understanding reached between his party and the CPN-UML.

KATHMANDU, May 26: CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that he will be leading the new government to be formed soon after endorsement of the new budget as per the nine-point understanding reached between his party and the CPN-UML.


In a press conference organized by the Revolutionary Journalists Association, Chitwan chapter on Thursday, Dahal claimed that it was not a written agreement but was agreed by the two parties for the same.




He added that he was confident that the new government would be of national consensus.

Dahal stressed on such government even to implement the new constitution, expediting the post- quake reconstruction projects, resolving the Tarai issues among other major issues.


He opined for resolving the conflict cases through the aspiration of the peace process.


In another note, leader Dahal added that he will send a written response to the Supreme Court tomorrow as he was called in the court on the charge of contempt of the court.


He opined for holding local bodies' election with the consensus of all political parties adding that the date for the same might be appropriate by Mid-April 2017.


He added that the Nepal Congress was also suggesting for the same. RSS
