Khadga Bahadur Shrestha, assistant chief district officer of Kathmandu, emphasized the importance of bringing all required documents, stating that it would facilitate the process if everything is completed prior to making recommendations.

In addition, the DAO has instructed ward offices to verify the Nepali citizenship of both parents and confirm their continuous residency within Nepal's borders when recommending children who acquired citizenship by birth through descent. The circular lists several documents to be submitted, including parents' citizenship certificates, full birth registration, proof of land ownership (with the applicant's parents' names), educational certificates, house ownership registration proof, migration registration certificate (if the address has changed), permanent residence certificate, parents' marriage registration, family details, and death registration certificates if applicable. It also mentions attaching the registration certificate of a minor if they were registered by the registration team in 2063 BS.

Furthermore, the circular mentions that additional documents may be required to verify the on-site police report.
