KATHANDU, Aug 14: The students close to Ram Chandra Paudel panel said it would not take part in the ongoing 11th General Convention of the Nepal Students Union, saying that the Deuba panel has added bogus voters.

Digging in its heel, the Paudel panel ruled out the possibility of taking part in the convention until the names-list of representatives is rectified immediately.

Bharat Khadka from Paudel panel, who is vying for the post of Vice President from Province-3, said his panel would not taken part in the convention until the bogus voters list is rectified, accusing Deuba panel of including fake representatives.

Khadka panel is holding a press conference shortly today.

Meanwhile, Ram Chandra Paudel has urged NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba to correct the voters-list over the telephone.

“Why did your panel hike the number of voters up to 3,760 while the two sides had already agreed on 3,400 in mutual understanding?,” asked Paudel to Deuba over the telephone.

In reply, Deuba told Paudel not to worry about it, saying that “this is the issue of the students which they will solve by themselves.”

According to Chiranjibi Adhikari, personal secretary of Paudel, Paudel inquired Deuba about the dispute cropped up in the ongoing NSU convention over the telephone on Sunday.
