Pokhara, April 3: CPN (UML) senior leader and former Prime Minister, Madhav Kumar Nepal, has said the dissatisfaction towards the constitution and election will be addressed only after the elections are held.

At a press meet organized by Press Chautari Nepal, Kaski this morning, Nepal spoke of the election fever gripping the country while emphasizing that the Election Commission was working intensively to hold the local level polls on May 14. He also called for an end to petty disputes that could disrupt the elections.
"This is not the time for amending the constitution, if it is in the interest of the country and people, we will think about it later," he said.
Nepal termed election as the base pillar for democracy's institutional development. He added that he did not feel that the Madhes-based parties would run away from the people by fearing the local level elections based on new structure.
He made it clear that his party never worked to degrade Nepali people's dignity on the issue of nationalism.
Nepal stressed on need for a single party to garner majority votes in the election to end the political stability dogging the country for the past few years. The programme was presided over by Press Chautari Nepal, Kaski Chairman, Madhav Baral. RSS
