KATHMANDU, Aug 1: The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MoEST) has urged the students not to go abroad for study through illegal education consultancies.
Issuing a statement on Tuesday, the MoEST warned the students and guardians not to get services from illegal consultancies.

According to the MoEST statement, IDP Education has planned to operate services in Nepal from August 1 without taking permission from the Department of Education and the MoEST.
"It is mandatory to take permission from the ministry to run such businesses."
IDP Education has been registered with the Office of the Company Registrar. According to the existing laws, any company registered with the Company Registrar must take permission from the concerned offices prior to providing services.
The ministry also urges the company to take permission from the MoEST. "If it provides services without taking permission from the ministry, it will take necessary action," the statement reads.
