Facebook has launched its online training for journalists, focusing on the three core pillars of the news cycle: discovering content, creating stories and building an audience.


Journalists who want to learn about Facebook’s products, tools and services for use in their work can access free e-learning courses. Each module contains case studies in journalism as well as best practices and guidelines from Facebook.

Courses include “How journalists can best utilise Facebook and Instagram,” along with product courses on Facebook Live, 360 videos & photos and Instant Articles.


The platform also offers a guide for journalists explaining how to get started on Facebook or simply grow their presence and is starting a series of webinars tailored to journalists. The courses will be available through Blueprint, Facebook’s global training programme.
