KATHMANDU, Oct 10: Federation of Contractors Association of Nepal (FCAN) has said that it would continue its agitation programs until the government brings the murderer of Gauchan to book.
As part of protest programs, FCAN said it will stage a sit-in at Maitighar Mandala from 9 am to 10 am and submit a memorandum to Home Minister Janardan Sharma on Wednesday.
Similarly, FCAN will also hold a press conference in front of FCAN headquarters at 4 pm tomorrow and stage sit-ins at Koteshwar, Thapathali and Maitighar Mandala.
Govt laxity blamed for growing market ills
Earlier today, FCAN met with Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and took stock of how the government is working to nab the culprit.
In reply, PM Deuba said that he is seriously taking up the Gauchan’s murder case and assured that the government will leave no stone unturned to bring the guilty to book.
An unidentified two-member gang opened fire at Sharad Kumar Gauchan, chairman of FCAN, at around 2:30 pm at Kharibot in New Baneshwar on Monday.
