Finance Ministry to provide Rs 81 million to 12 hospitals to procure medical equipment

KATHMANDU, May 24: The Ministry of Finance has agreed to provide additional Rs 81 million for 12 hospitals to install oxygen plants, oxygen tanks, HDU connection and purchase of PCR machines.

KATHMANDU, May 24: The Ministry of Finance has agreed to provide additional Rs 81 million for 12 hospitals to install oxygen plants, oxygen tanks, HDU connection and purchase of PCR machines.


Of the total budget allocated to different hospitals, Rs 8 million has been allocated to TU Teaching Hospital in Kathmandu, Rs 7.5 million to District Hospital Chautara in Sindhupalchowk, Rs 7.5 million to District Hospital Dailekh, Rs 7.5 million to District Hospital Dhankuta, Rs 7.5 million to District Hospital Jaleshwar in Sarlahi and Rs 7.5 million to District Hospital Ilam.

Similarly, District Hospital Sankhuwasabha will be provided Rs 8 million, Ramechhap Hospital Rs 7.5 million, Chaurjahari Hospital in Rukum West Rs 7.5 million, Tikapur Hospital in Kailali Rs 7.5 million, Okhaldhunga Hospital Rs 2.5 million and Byas Hospital in Tanahu Rs 2.5 million.


As per request of the Ministry of Health and Population, the Ministry of Finance has been agreeing in various occasions to provide necessary materials and infrastructure for the control, treatment and prevention of COVID-19.
