Five sentenced for abduction of jeweler

BIRGUNJ, Dec 2: The District Court – Parsa has sentenced five persons including police constables to nine years in prison and slapped a fine of Rs 550,000 each for abduction on Thursday.

BIRGUNJ, Dec 2: The District Court – Parsa has sentenced five persons including police constables to nine years in prison and slapped a fine of Rs 550,000 each for abduction on Thursday. 



They were incriminated for abducting Rajesh Kumar Sah of Nagawa area of Birgunj Municipality – 19 and demanding ransom. 



On April 5, police constables Arvinda Kumar Singh and Binaya Singh abducted Birgunj's jeweler Sah. They were detaining him in a hotel and demanding ransom for his release when the police made the arrest. 



The court also sentenced Bhagawan Singh of Harpatgunj – 8, Deepak Singh Rajput of Chorli – 2 and Brijesh Kumar Singh of Birgunj Municipality – 18 for their involvement in the crime. RSS
