Ex-King Gyanendra Shah expresses sadness on loss of lives and properties caused flood, landslides

KATHMANDU, July 14: Former King Gyanendra Shah on Sunday expressed sadness on the loss of lives and properties due to the flood and landslides triggered by incessant rainfall.

KATHMANDU, July 14: Former King Gyanendra Shah on Sunday expressed sadness on the loss of lives and properties due to the flood and landslides triggered by incessant rainfall.


Issuing a press statement, Shah has urged one and all everyone to help each other during the time of this tragedy. He has offered deep condolences to the families of those killed in the floods and landslides in recent days.

The flood and landslides caused by incessant rains have killed at least 43 persons since Thursday evening.


As many as 24 persons have gone missing due to floods and landslides. Daily life has been badly affected across the country with at least 10,000 people displaced, according to the National Emergency Operation Center at the Ministry of Home Affairs.
