BHAKTAPUR, Dec 17: A bridge linking Madhyapur Municipality-4 in Thimi and Suryabinayak Municipality-4 in Dhadhikot has been inaugurated here today.
Lawmaker Mahesh Basnet laid the foundation stone for the bridge to be built over the Hanumante River. At the inauguration programme organized by Madhyapur Thimi Municipality and Suryabinayak Municipality, lawmaker Basnet shared around a dozen bridges were simultaneously being built in Bhaktapur.
According to him, the construction of pitch roads and bridges in all villages in Bhaktapur were highly prioritized. He also assured that Bhaktapur folks would witness all-round developments in four years.

Present at the program were Province No 3 lawmaker Sashijung Thapa, Madhyapur Timi Municipality Chief Madan Sundar Shrestha, Suryabnayak Municipality Chief Basudev Thapa among others who said that the three-tier government had allocated budget for the development works and the development works would be accelerated rapidly.
The construction cost of the Hanumante Bridge is estimated at Rs 61 million and it is expected to be completed by October next year.
Meanwhile, the people’s representatives of Madhyapur Thimi Municipality-4 and Surya Binayak Municipality-3 made an on-site visit of the Hanumante Bridge.
The observers included Province No 3 lawmaker Sashijung Thapa, lawmaker Mahesh Basnet, Suryabinayak Municipality Mayor Basudev Thapa and UML Bhaktapur Chairperson Bachan Deuba and Chief District Officer Narayan Bhatta among others.
