KATHMANDU, Nov 5: Four people died in a jeep accident in Doti while five others were injured.
On Sunday night at 2:28 PM in Shikhar Municipality-6 Anyul of Doti, a Bolero jeep (Ga 2 Cha 2776), which was en route to Bajura from Dhangadhi, met with an accident on the KI Singh highway.
Two killed, 14 injured in Doti jeep accident
Doti Chief District Officer Gopal Prasad Aryal informed Republica that four people died on the spot in the accident. He said that five injured people are being treated in a local hospital and they are out of danger.
According to him, the deceased are 22-year-old Radhika Malal of Himali Rural Municipality-5, Bajura, 32-year-old Dhanshobha Budha of the same place, her six-year-old son Kabindra Budha and 8-month-old daughter of Bimala Malal, who lives in the same place.
The injured are 30-year-old Prakash Budthapa of Himali Rural Municipality-5, 23-year-old Khom Bahadur Malal, 24-year-old Dan Bahadur Buda, 21-year-old Bimala Malal and 21-year-old Raj Bahadur Malal of the same place.
Chief District Officer Aryal also said that the Bolero driver, Mahesh Budha, 29, from Gaumul Rural Municipality-4 Kadakot, has been arrested by the police.
It is said that the vehicle suddenly went out of control and fell down about 60 meters off the road.
