KATHMANDU, Jan 16: The Ministry of Health (MoH) in coordination with National Reconstruction Authority (NRA) is set to organize a special free health campaign in the quake affected areas.
Free health camp benefits people from five districts
A meeting between NRA Chief Executive Officer Dr Govinda Raj Pokhrel and MoH secretary Dr Senendra Raj Uprety on Sunday decided to conduct the special health campaign for the earthquake affected people. Specialists from the Institute of Medicine, Kathmandu University, National Academy of Medical Sciences, and Patan Academy of Health Sciences will check up the quake affected people during the health camp.
Dr Pokhrel informed that the health experts will be mobilized in quake affected districts under the campaign. The MoH has decided to write to the district public health offices and health offices to conduct the programs. The MoH has directed the chiefs of the health offices to provide free health services in the mobile camp, according to a statement issued by the NRA on Sunday.
