Free Surgery for cataract patients

SYANGJA, Nov 4: Surgery has been successfully performed on 43 patients suffering from cataract at a three-day free eye camp that concluded on Saturday.

SYANGJA, Nov 4: Surgery has been successfully performed on 43 patients suffering from cataract at a three-day free eye camp that concluded on Saturday.

The camp was organized by the Eye Treatment Centre, Waling and Primary Health Centre, Waling with the technical support of the Himalayan Eye Hospital, Gharipatan, Pokhara. A total of 450 persons had undergone eye examination at the camp, according to Chief of the Centre Tej Bahadur Gurung. 



Ophthalmologist Dr. Harimaya Gurung led a seven-member team of ophthalmologists that carried out the surgery and provided free medicines and eyeglasses. 



People from Waling, Bhirkot, Galyang, Chapakot municipality of Syangja and some parts of southern Parbat benefitted from the camp. RSS
