FSF-N leader arrested with explosives

DHARAN, OCT 20: Police have arrested 38-year-old, Dingma Aandi Bhote from Chepuwa VDC-6, Shankhuwasabha on Tuesday.



Bhote was caught with large amount of illegal sandalwoods and explosives at his rented house in Dharan-6.

 

Police raided the rented house and seized suspicious object which was later confirmed as explosives by a team of Nepal Army.



Bhote, who is a secretary of Federal Socialist Forum- Nepal (FSF-N), Sunsari, is also considered as an active member of Indigenous movement. He is well known as Nima Ponsuva in Dharan.



According to police, Bhote was caught with 61 kg of sulfur and other expolsives. 



In addition, 3 kg of sandalwood and Rs 6, 940 in cash were also seized from his possession. 



DSP Dhakendra Khatiwada revealed that Bhote is an absconding culprit.



He said that a person who was caught earlier in Shankhuwasabha with explosives had told the police that he had purchased it from Bhote.  



Then, the police was in a hunt for Bhote.  



Excessive poaching of wild animals is reported in the northern part of the district. Bhote is believed to be supplying the explosive to the places for making homemade guns. 



DSP Khatiwada said that further investigation into the case was underway after remanding Bhote to four days of judicial custody from the court.
