POKHARA, Aug 21: The federal government of Gandaki has launched 'Hello Chief Minister' telephone service, under which the residents of the province can tell the chief minister about their complaints and suggestions directly to the chief minister (CM).
According to the office of the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers, the residents can dial 1094 to register their complaints and suggestions to the CM. The office also shared plans to expand the line to local units as well. “We are introducing this program with the objective to deliver our services effectively and to receive public feedback,” said CM Prithvi Subba.

According to him, another main objective of launching the 'Hello CM' program is to maintain good governance. “When we design and launch projects, it is important for us to get public feedback. Likewise, this program also enables us to know various problems of the locals including natural disasters,” said CM Subba.
The CM inaugurated the program by listening to the complaints of two residents on the phone on Monday. He listened to complaints of Krishna Paudel of Simpani and Upendra Paudel of Nadipur, both from Pokhara.
They had questioned the CM regarding tourism, tourist security and ways to prolong tourist stay. Subba told them that tourism was topmost priority of the state.
According to Lal Mani Ojha, secretary of the office of Chief Minister and Council of Ministers, 'Hello CM' program opens from 10 am to 5 pm. Two employees have been deployed to attend to the callers. The complaints are also recorded. “The complaints and suggestions of the public are then directed to concerned ministries, district and offices,” he said.
Likewise, Android mobile users can also download 'Hello CM Android App' and can record their statement through it. Another way is to send complaints and suggestions at email address hello.gandaki.gov.np and [email protected].
