JANAKPURDHAM, Oct 11: The Tarai Madhes Yatra Parva is being celebrated to mark the Vijaya Dashami of the ongoing Bada Dashain festival here.
The Dashami day is known as Jatara in the local dialect. The day is taken as the holiest day of the year as Hindu Goddess Durga Bhawani's procession is taken out on this day.
All 10 auspicious doors are believed to be open on this particular day, hence it is considered to be an auspicious day to start any work. RSS
